What you missed:
Team was #1 for 7 straight weeks (Dec. 23 - Feb. 5), tying Coldplay's Charlie Brown for having the most consecutive weeks at #1. Ironically exactly two years ago at this date, Charlie Brown was also reigning at the #1 spot. This marks Lorde's first #1 in my chart with Royals peaking at #4 and Ribs peaking at #2
XO was #1 for 1 week (Feb. 12) dethroning Team's 7 week reign
Who You Love was #1 for 2 weeks (Feb. 19-26) making this John Mayer's 2nd #1 in my chart, the first being 'Something Like Olivia' last year. This also marks Katy Perry's 6th number 1 song.
I Choose You debuted at #1 and spent two consecutive weeks there (March 3-9). This marks only the third song to debut on top of my chart with Michael Buble's Haven't Met You Yet debuting there in 2010 and the last before this song was 'Work Bitch' by Britney Spears debuting in 2013 and spent six straight weeks on top.
'Happy' by Pharrell Williams spent two weeks at #1 (March 16-23) and this marks Pharrell's first ever #1 in my chart. Blurred Lines peaked at #3
'Chocolate' by The 1975 spent a week on top (March 30) marking their first #1 in my chart. Only 6 weeks on the chart though, a lot could still happen
'Drunk in Love' surfboardT it's way on top stealing The 1975's throne. (April 6). This marks Beyonce's 2nd #1 hit for this era and her 4th overall. This also marks Jay-Z's 3rd #1 hit after Empire State of Mind back in 2010 and ****** in Paris back in 2011.
I will be doing this regularly now YAZ.
