Following the UK method really isn't gonna drastically make any difference. This week it would since the difference between #1 and #2 is literally 1%, but not on an average normal week.

It would make a difference for an album that inordinately relies on 1 big hit or 2 when the rest of the album's streams (and sales) are unimpressive.
Certainly one week earlier this year an album was #1 precisely because of that.

It's that kind of thing that's more bothersome than a Drake at #1.
