I think those that don't like It Follows simply don't understand it! one of my friends just watched it and hated it at first but once I explained some things, she realized how clever and amazing it is.
Anyway, I'm glad to see Goodnight Mommy is finally getting a release. I watched the first trailer that came out last year and it looks amazing. A fresh idea and thank god not another paranormal movie.

Iol, too many horror movie fans, much like the directors, rely too heavily on jump-scares mostly made by loud noises through the musical score and cliche & predictable scenes that you can see coming from miles away. "It Follows" NOT possessing those typical horror movie elements is what makes it such a solid, original film.

I mean, I think that's my main problem with the movie I like to feel scared in like suspense and then the big jump, and when I read the reviews I got to hyped and was waiting something like we are use to and it turned out to be something different
I know it does have its meaning and stuff... I'm just the typical person you describe above
Okay, just got done viewing "Goodnight Mommy" and honestly, the film is nothing more than just okay. If you're not a fan of slow-paced, atmospheric films then you probably won't enjoy this.
There wasn't much suspense until the second half of the film kicks in, in which by then, it basically turns into "Hostel". Even the torture scenes seemed tedious and a little too drawn out in its time length. The films plot isn't all that complex, either. The dramatic climax was nice but at the same time the big reveal wasn't all that shocking.
The acting was pretty decent and the cinematography was quite nice. I think "Goodnight Mommy" would be an overall better film had it had a bigger production, though, it did pretty well for a smaller budget film. "The Babadook" is a good example of a thriller film with a small budget that was still well executed.
Looks terrible. Saw the trailer earlier and stopped midway through. If a 2 min. trailer can't spark my interest then I know the film itself isn't even worth a viewing.

they should have changed the ending
