Well first of all, Welcome! And I know very little about the album.
Here's a few things.
1. The so called "darker" album was a joke, katy was kidding when she said that. I'm sure shell have a few "dark" songs but the whole album won't consist of those type of songs.
2. Katy said she won't duplicate what teenage dream was.
3. She also stated its her chance to "test" the waters with this next album
4. She is working with the same folks as she did with teenage dream, Dr. Luke, Bonnie, Max Martin, stargate
5. She recently worked with Sia.
6. Katy wrote a song called Double Rainbow.
7. First single is expected mid summer through early fall. Not sure on that.
8. Dr. Luke tweeted" it's a big song" and katy replied, "shhhh" idk if that's anything important yet. Lol
There's rumors shes working with zed, I'm not too sure on that. There is also another rumor she's collaborating with the Swedish group Icona Pop.
