Are there any other big shows she can perform on in Germany? She already did multiple promo slots for the UK and now France.

Neither am I. But she'll be attending/performing... and that makes it a little special, bitch!

Let's say it's not amongst the highest views in France, but it's has its special place amongst music shows!
And she really was impressing the one time she was on that show, she even sang in French if I remeber well.
Yay, looking forward to it!

Mmm, it's not going to happen, there's nowhere to perform here in the summer, there's only one award show but it's gonna be recorded in a few days and only has way smaller names.
At least Shakira's almost officially doing a concert near my town this summer!

Interesting things about this article (AP, I know, but I did a little bit of deeper reading...)
So:
Amazon (Monday) - 330k
Amazon (Thursday) - 150k
Best Buy - 200k
Target - 150k
Wal-Mart - 125k
iTunes - 200k
Starbucks (Monday) - 10k
Amazon (other days) - 70k
Starbucks (other days) - 15k
Total - 1250k
If the other 20,000 stores sell on average of 5 copies of BTW each throughout the week, that's another 100k. I can't help but thinking that will be a bit more, but I don't want to be too adventurous...
OVERALL TOTAL - 1350k
If the so-called 'industry prognosticators' are correct, this is a very possible situation...

I really think she's gonna do it

You know, I was thinking, don't the Amazon sales include any physical sales through them (with all the pre-orders) as well? And the digital version that was full price? Is that 330k supposed to be all-inclusive?

No, Wetten dass is big.. but shes not on the next show (june 18th).. airs only once a month. Germanys Next Top Model is the best promo she can get in germany right now. In front of 18,000 people and some folks at home

I didn't watch it but this is the first thing that appears on their main page and they liked it (and were kind of shady to the other performer): http://music-mix.ew.com/2011/05/27/l...-park-concert/
I haven't seen this mentioned: TEOG (a song that works despite the cheesiness) is Gaga's first hit ballad. I remember lots of people used to ask if she could ever score one. The song's radio performance is troubling, though. There's no reason it shouldn't be getting 3M+ AI updates. It seems that Gaga's overwhelming persona has become hard to digest for radio programmers / listeners. I can understand BTW and Judas ( ) falling quickly on radio, but there's no reason for TEOG not to be a massive AC/HAC hit. Given her label's insistence on having BTW dominate every corner of the world, I'm surprised they're not pushing the song on those formats. Last year I requested for Kost103.5 (LA's biggest AC station) to play Gaga and the programmer actually emailed me back saying she's not the "type of artist" they play. Even though they play Beyonce, Taylor, Katy, etc. Her label should be working on making her that "type of artist." TEOG is the perfect song for that.

It's hard to say. They haven't been very specific with providing numbers. I remember reading somewhere that 300,000 was just from the $1 deal, but I'm not sure if they've really revealed it. At any rate, don't expect the 150,000 from the second sale that they predicted.

TEOG is doing very well on radio. AC/HAC always take time to pick up, maybe unless you're an established artist on those formats.

I totally forgot about that. The physical copy was slaying the bestseller charts.

I think this is a very good point. When they played her country road version of Born This Way on my local country stations, they received huge backlash for allowing a Gaga song on the station at all, regardless of whether it was a country song or not. I can see her encountering this type of problem on other stations, as well. I've been wondering why it hasn't been getting larger updates. I fully expected it to start getting +3M updates after the rolling week, but clearly that's not happening.

The other thing is, she really needs the radio support now. She is not going to take down Adele without huge airplay support. Most of her sales for the song are probably going to be used up in the next few weeks without the airplay support. Then, when the song peaks on airplay, its sales will probably be lower than a lot of cheap summer hits (LFN in particular). I can see the song being blocked from being a Hot 100 #1 quite easily, even if it does continue to perform well.

Billboard projects that Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" will debut with first-week sales of at least 1.15 million units, far outpacing earlier projections, thanks to explosive sales at Amazon, which priced the album at 99 cents for two days this week.

All in all, pop’s reigning queen served up just the right combo of stunts and sincerity. You couldn’t ask for a better way to kick off the summer.
