I'm pretty sure no matter how good or bad Ellie's next album is she'll still be dogged with "sellout" accusations.
I like Ellie a lot, but it's not like she was all
that far from the mainstream to begin with or like the direction(s) she took on her second album was all that preferable to full-on mainstream pop. Her voice is distinctive enough to make her stand out no matter how commercial she gets.
Though if she releases more turds like "Burn" I will fume too.
