Here's my full review, I was waiting for Flipside to conclude it.
1. Old Money - 10/10
Her best song of the album and one of her all time masterpieces. Has the potential to be the next "Someone Like You" if you ask me, I hope it becomes a single.
2. Cruel World - 10/10
One of the most underrated songs, I don't know why, the intro is everything.
3. Brooklyn Baby - 10/10
I mean who doesn't love this? It is such a happy mood song to listen with your lover.
4. ****ed My Way Up To The Top - 10/10
Probably the one song that reminds me of the BTD era, and I'm happy there is one in this album to remind me of that flawless album.
5. Ultraviolence - 10/10
The spoken bridge does it for me, so sexy, so smooth, the live version touched me emotionally, but the studio version makes me want to have sex to it.
6. West Coast - 10/10
The minute I listened to this, I knew I was going to absolutely love this album, my most played track of Lana on my last.fm (altho big part of it was due to the thirst
), but still a great masterpiece that marks a new sound and a new era, altho I was a bit scared that all the songs would sound like this, thankfully I was mistaken.
7. Black Beauty - 10/10
I wanted this track to be included into the album and she did it! I love what they did to it without changing the whole song, it still gives me chills.
8. Flipside - 10/10
Although it was just released, it became one my favourite songs, I think it should had been included into the album, not as a bonus track. I love The XX, and this does wonders for me.
9. Florida Kilos - 9.5/10
Such a summer song, I will listen to this alot this summer, I'm glad there's some songs in this album of more of a "happy" mood.
10. Shades Of Cool - 9.5/10
Another wonderful track, the guitar part is everything, so sexy.
11. Sad Girl - 9.5/10
My new Mermaid Motel to be honest, it screams sex and passion.
12. Guns And Roses - 9/10
I don't know why people don't love this? The repetitive chorus really works well, and the ending is one of the best of the album, it truly hits a climax, perfect.
13. Money Power Glory - 9/10
The first snippet really DIDN'T SHOW the soul of this song, the chorus...oh my god, it gave me chills on the first listen.
14. Is This Happiness - 9/10
Another excellent bonus track, I love the piano it really makes the song to me. And the "huhum, huhm, huhm, hummmm" Lana makes, is so sweet.
15. Pretty When You Cry - 9/10
In the beginning I was a liltle "meh" but then the chorus made me love the song so much.
16. The Other Woman - 9/10
Although it is last, it doesn't really mean is the weakest, it's a damm good cover of Nina Simone, Lana gave it justice.
I took a good amount of time to do this, because they are all so perfect in their own way.
