The first press of the regular edition came with an 8-page booklet. The single reached #5 on the Oricon charts and charted for five weeks, selling 29,459 copies.

"PONPONPON" is the first major digital single (3rd overall) released by Kyarypamyupamyu and the third one overall. It was released through the iTunes store and Recochoku. The song is certified GOLD with 100,000 downloaded units (Chaku-uta full). PONPONPON MV is the fifth most-viewed video by a Japanese artist on Youtube.
