I see the TIDAL award coming for a certain SOMEONE who has forgotten that when you stan someone, you shouldn't subtly shade your swapped fave via your profile.
Honestly after listening to her whole discography, I think katy is the master of soaring choruses. The perfect sing along kind, it's really no wonder she has so many hit singles. My english isn't the best so this is probably gonna be a hot mess tho.
My top 3 fave tracks
1) E.T
Her voice is so soothing and magnetic, like she stresses on all the right syllables but the constant background drum beat and beeping noises make it kind of techno at the same time. Like every other track up to that point was either pop-rock or bubblegum and then she goes full on electronic.
But really the chorus is the best part it just takes you away.
(not a fan of the kanye rap tho)
2) Self inflicted
It's not really a fan favourite but I feel it's really underrated. It just meshes together so well, she sings half of it all sweetly that you think it's gonna be another song like OOTB , and chants the other half (just compare the first and second half of the chorus) and I don't know how or why but it just works. Also her pronunciation rocks like the ocean, emotion, heart rips me wide open triple combo.
The background vocals are cute as well.
3) Thinking of you
It's just so passionate, like you can literally hear the loss in her voice. The visuals the song creates are also amazing, I really like how she talks about his eyes and all the guilt she feels. Also the progression as you go through the song is flaw free like in the beginning her voice is just sort of calm but melancholic but then as the song progresses you can sort of her her losing it as well and just breaking down until the end when she just goes back to being depressed.

Now that I think about it, I could have accepted meghan or katy.
But I would have had all my posts about them wrapped in obvious sarcasm or shade, and I'd have made threads that were totally set up to drag them. Certain people on a normal basis kinda seem to do that with their supposed "faves."
Luckily my real fave is Bey so I didn't have to worry about that.
The entire forum is soiled with disruptive threads, grotesque flamebait avis and constant trolling.
