Not everyone uses IMDB and Yahoo, so only basing the facts off of that is purely wrong. You would have to go to the other websites like MSN, Boxofficemojo, and other sites that would also give a fair viewpoint on both movies. Even then, you wouldn't have the correct amount of people to show that the majority of the people like BB over MM. You would have to clearly have a little more than half the population in the world to correctly say that more people like BB than MM.

Let's not forget that more people have supported MM at the Boxoffice than BB so far.

My argument isn't pointless. You just shouldn't say that more people like BB better than MM just because 2 sites and the critics (10 old men who have nothing better to do) like BB better. In fact, there isn't a true showing of how to tell people like either of them better. People are bias in polls, the questions can be biased, the critics are biased. The only real way to say that people like either of them better is to say that some people like BB better than MM or some people like MM better than BB. Let's not forget that some people just like to mess with polls for various reasons.

It's not pointless. It's still an opinion when you say more people like BB than MM. You would have to show the more than half the people in the world agree with BB being better than MM. Still you would probably get a biased turnout because of the wording and people's own biased opinion.

I never said that MM was better than BB based upon the sales so far, I was just clearly stating a fact.

I personally like TEOM more than E=MC2. But that really has no relevance in a movie thread.

At least Benjamin Button is not a cheap JOKE and Brad Pitt is not a silly BLUR. They will keep talking abt this movie for years, not just watch, laugh and forget like MM.

that's actually not how the Oscar's work, but I'm not going to argue that point. In many instances the Academy is often seen as out of touch with the public opinion, but if it were up to the public, stuff like Marley & Me would be getting awards.

Just because people like a movie, does NOT mean it is worthy of an Oscar. It just so happens that sometimes people like movies that do indeed deserve Oscars. What in Marley & Me, can you honestly say, deserves one of the highest merits in film making?

Yes, Aniston was made famous from Friends, but that was nearly a decade ago (well...since it was relevant). Owen Wilson has consistently been in huge movies over the past decade. Zoolander? Shanghai Noon/Knights? Wedding Crashers fcs?

a lot of people still watch Friends nowadays and some channels still transmit them with good ratings. plus, friends is history and new generations are just discovering it. those owen's movies were from the past but only a few from the new generations will watch them. they no interested in old movies but they interested in old series. especially friends. so yeah, jen is more popular and always will be.
