I'm just saying, in general, on this website, when either of those two are winning, certain people try and tear down any accomplishment, say its bandwagoning/overrated/etc.
I think in general more Mods should get involved to review, considering this was labelled as a group effort between them at the start. You have the same two mods reviewing consistently and now and again a different mod will throw out their perspective. Of course if they don't like the record they don't have to, I would have just thought they would try to put in the extra effort considering it was something they all discussed and decided on. Because personally, I like the "Modscore", you don't really hear much about the opinions of Mods regarding certain songs/albums in threads. So it is refreshing to hear their take.
nn MTE though. But we're still a little early in, so hopefully.
I'm more focused on having a Top Critics score. A Top Critics score would reduce the influence of stans.
So:
- Member score (excluding top critics)
- Top Critics score
- Mod score
Possible prerequisites to become a Top Critic
- Reviewed at least 75% of content
- No visible bias toward or against an artist or artists (as determined by mods?)
- Reviews are coherent, well-written, detailed
I think there could also be polls where people could vote for members to become Top Critics.

I actually really like this idea, but making it mandatory to have participated in at least 75% of the reviews is way too high. That requirement should be lessened to anybody who has, at minimum, shown a mild interest in the thread and submitted three reviews thus far.
I really like reading through these and I do think that some scores seem more well-thought out than others and some members do consistently review all the different kinds of releases rather than just the releases by artists they like/hate.
I think adding a top critic idea could be a good addition and give a more well-rounded look at a piece of music.
I'm all for Top Critic! As long as you can see that there's consistent effort being put into the reviews for some time, these people should be eligible for it.

Anybody who's submitted one or two reviews has a mild interest in the thread.
When I think of Top Critics I think of people who are really getting into reviewing music, who are really interested in discovering and critiquing any kind of music. Someone could easily throw up three biased reviews of songs in the same genre. That's more difficult to do with 6-7 reviews. Having the 75% requirement weeds out lots of bias and adds reliability and consistency to the Top Critics pool.
