Is it even confirmed the Beatles catalog is being added to iTunes? And if so, how do we know it is being released this week? The article that mentioned the possiblility said it was being added soon, not tomorrow. iTunes could merely be making the announcement & preparing for the addition of their catalog a bit later on.

No, it has not been confirmed.
All bets are on that they will make an announcement tomorrow that they will be adding the catalog to itunes but, they did not say when it will be available for purchasing.

Yeah I understand what you say because usually its the first single that goes #1, and then is replaced by 2nd single at #1 .. but in this case its reverse, well hopefully it will happen!!

I think Rihanna's last chance at #1 with OG is this week with the album release
