Another Platinum certification for Adele... 21 has just been awarded its fifteenth Platinum disc in the UK (source: Music Week magazine). The award will appear on the BPI website as being dated March 2 2012.
I believe this is an all time record for Platinum certifications in the UK, though of course some albums that would qualify for more than this have not been certified as such either because they don't qualify (Sgt Pepper) or because the record label failed to apply for further certifications.
