Ahhhhh, no Not the only time you were in the Flop Trinity... sigh.

A T R L ' s H O L Y T R I N I T Y Highlights: Round Eight
Tymps.
Little Dragon ▲ Brush the Heat Foxygen ▲ We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic Tricky ▲ Black Steel
Rocketing to the #1 spot in the Golden Trinity is the formerly-Adem Tymps., who certainly is
no stranger to the Golden ranks. Adopting a never-more-appropriate drug theme for this round,
psychedelia and euphoria is nowhere distant. A low-key statement on using drugs to escape and
its relation to the concept of "trippiness" separates this unique trinity from the pack.
Tymps Entry
TheTrippyTrinity
For the challenge description this round, collin challenged competitors to think outside of the box with trippy, and think musically trippy rather than drug-induced. However, why not do both, thinking both inside and outside of the box? One reason a lot of people take drugs is as a way of escape, and thus the concept for this entry came to be. Each song, while musically trippy, also represents a different kind of escape. Enjoy!
Musically, this is probably the strangest song in the trinity. Its production is sine-filled and sparse. The song highlights that words and actions from others really do hurt, but that we need to "give in to the rhythm of [our] feet". While the eccentric lyrics may not state it outrightly a la pop power anthems, the message in dug in there nonetheless.

Well,itreallyisn'teventoohardtobe
Society is constantly limiting us to what we can do and what we can't do. Isn't there a way to just be crazy for a while? Musically this song is all over the place in the best way possible, and it's straight-out kooky. If you listen closely, you'll even notice the song even subtly reflects a bit on society ("You can't be funny if you want to make money now").
Black Steel is about someone getting drafted and avoiding it, and while that's a very specific situation, it can also be viewed on a much wider scale and it can even be seen metaphorically. Responsibility and the future can be very unsettling sometimes, and everyone needs a way to get away from it, even if just temporarily.
holyground
MGMT ▲ Flash Delirium Kanye West, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Bon Iver, Jay-Z ▲ Monster Queens of the Stone Age ▲ Kalopsia
Enjoying his first go at the Golden ranks, holyground deservedly bounded to the top with a
new, out-of-the-box type of trippy. Beginning and ending with popular psychedelic acts of the modern age
cushioned with the out-of-this-world "Monster" (which truly lives up to its name), a wonderful trinity
is formed. It'll be sure to take you on a full-cycle trip, from high energy to the mind-altering "Kalopsia".
holyground Entry
holyground's "trippy" trinity
Delirious. Monstrous. Delusional. To "trip", is to have your mind taken to a whole new place where nothing makes sense, but you enjoy it anyway.
Flash Delirium
MGMT this whole song is just insane it's not possible to pick a particular lyric that encompasses this song
To introduce this "trippy" trinity, of course I'd put probably one of the most insane songs I've ever heard. The first few verses seem to be jabs towards stuff like social network, how people wait for change and people who don't know ****. But towards the end the song just turns into a crazy mess and it's pretty impossible to understand whatever is going on. Even the video is wacker than crack.
Monster (feat. Bon Iver, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj & Rick Ross)
Kanye West "i'll say bride of chucky's child's play, just killed another career it's a mild day"
This song probably has a more egoistical meaning, but it's still nothing but a monster. All 4 rappers delivered. Even Rick sounded like an ominous god and Bon Iver was just haunting. And let's not forget Nicki, she went all OUT and OWNED. Anyway, if Flash Delirium did not mess your mind up enough, this will do the trick.
Kalopsia
Queens of the Stone Age "rose tinted eyes, colour my sorrow, a shade of wine"
Kalopsia: Everything seems more beautiful than it actually is. That's basically what you'd feel like after you're high and stuff like that. To stay in the trippy mindset ain't sustainable, is everything really good?
After a small lull in the team round, Scene re-claims the third spot of the Golden Trinity
with a shockingly solid twist on the "trippy" concept. The sonic acid trips that are "Aquababe" and "Frenzy" excellently work (though, at first, seem questionable) and make you want to wave your hands, shut your eyes and maybe even dance alone in your room on a Friday night (does that seem too specific? I think not). Jammed in the middle is the party-jam "Controversy", a song built for this round... "drink the kool-aid, don't drink the kool aid"!

Oh, and Jake. will automatically be in the Flop Trinity the next round, receiving his third violation.
Those placements are incorrect for some people, collin. Namely, Doogle and Scene and some others.
No, Doogle's placement is correct.
He was late, but he still submitted his entry and was ranked 2nd overall by the judges.
The policy is that lateness equates to Flop Trinity, not to a lower average.
And sorry, I tried to look at the last time you were in the Golden trinity but this website is slow as **** today.
