There's not time to do a traditional release anyway, that's why she's shooting everything she needs for R8 in advance ...

The Home era is starting in less than 3 months, she's going to focus only on that in March.
Dreamworks is going to launch a single early march to promote the movie on radios, whether she likes it or not. That's the whole point of Dreamworks calling rih and doing this album concept. To use Rih's radio power to push a movie. They probably already have a deal on lock with radios for the first week.
Home is only gonna get 1 single, then the sales will depend on the movie, rih is not gonna focus a that more than 2 months. It's like that for all the album/soundtrack related to movies.


So either she's releasing R8 before Home, and it's done very quickly: surprise release of the whole thing (album + lead single + video) or she's releasing in a very short time like Rated R (1 or 2 weeks between lead single and album)

Oh, I see your point and I completely agree with you. My reply was based on my feeling that she may do the September-November release schedule once more. But you're right: HOME era won't last long so she may release sooner.

But maybe we are connecting the HOME album and the movie too much. I think its just gonna be a full rihanna album, as in the album wont be called HOME, the album cover wont be Tip, Oh and the HOME logo but just a photo of Rihanna and a real album title.

I think its gonna be the same as pitbulls album Globalization. The song Celebrate is penguins of madagascar 's Title song and is on the album, but besides that its just a pitbull album. Same as the wanted's Chasing the sun being the title song of Ice Age.

I think it will be no different with the HOME album, it will have one single, allmost all songs from the album will be heard in the movie but it will be a real Rihanna album.

I see what you saying but remember that Rihanna said "I sing several songs on the soundtrack" speaking of the movie, so I don't really get why people are saying it's a full rihanna album

That's why i'm very doubtful about R8 being released after Home. If she's already shooting things for R8, it must be coming very soon and IT WILL NOT be released in a traditional way. There's just no time.

That wouldn't work for Rihanna. The album would be done before even getting a chance to smash.

I don't know what to expect honestly. We will have wait and see. I'm also suspicious about HOME era having only 1 single. She recorded a whole album for the movie. I would expect at least 2 singles. It kind of depends on the movie's performance too i guess.
