The Sims 2 sold 6 million on PC/Mac as of 2012. It's sold 20+ million on all platforms.
The Sims 3 sold 7+ million on PC/Mac as of 2015. It's sold 10+ million on all platforms.
The Sims 4 has sold 5 million on PC/Mac after 18 months. It's only been released on PC/Mac so far.
EA have vocalised many times that The Sims 4 is doing really well. They said it was their strongest game in 2015 for revenue.
It's the first Sims game to be the #1 PC game two years in a row.
It's clearly doing well.
The reason why? Because it's runs on almost any PC, which widens the audience for EA.

EA (as of 2013) is repairing their image, and only announcing sales of games that are under license (like Star Wars and Disney, FIFA etc).
They didn't announce sales for Dragon Age and other EA IP's as well,
