My exact feelings when the Hive was trying to discredit Morning Phase's AOTY win by bringing up its sales. It's like they forget pop isn't the only music genre in the world.

There's no Rock album in that category this year. Maybe it's just a good album that people liked. Anyway, everyone is more deserving than Beyonce her 50+ writers.

Clearly the album has found decent success among country fans and was well received by critics. Not that any of this is even relevant to whether or not an album deserves a nom.
Country albums have a good chance at getting noms these days because R&B,pop and hip hop fans are splitting the votes for different albums while country voters seem to be able to to concentrate on specific records giving them good chances to get nominated.
