Those are wrong. She had sold 55m singles by the end of The Fame monster era. It was well documented.

Her haters are so obessed with dismissing her as a Madonna wannabe... I think she respects M....but she wants to be the female Bowie more. That's her number 1. He's by far her biggest influence way, way more than M...but of course it's not fun to pit a man against a woman is it blogs? The possibility of two women fighting is much more entertainining blah blah blah.

She's hardly Bowie anymore.
The Bowie comparisons ran out with The Fame Monster. The Fame is a very Bowie album, and that was probably her intention. However she's moved onto Queen/Bruce Springsteen when she's getting influenced. She's always been Queen esque, but I definitely heard it more with Born This Way & Speechless than any other album.
She is very Madonna though. Has been since The Fame Monster, and has continued it into Born This Way

Bowie's been around for 50 years. He's done every type of music. You seem to think he only ever did Ziggy Stardust albums. He reinvented himself every album wayyyyy before Madonna.
I see nothing of Madonna apart from the vague melodic similarity of BTW to express yourself and the Alejandro video...but that's more Klein than Madonna. Vocally she sounds nothing like her....and gaga can't help being from new york, being an italian and being a catholic. Madonna doesn't own those things. It's such a lazy comparison...and more about the women hating media world we live in than gaga...belittling the achievements of a successfull female (gaga) by saying all she does is copy another successfull female (Madonna) which is not true. The media love reducing females in the public eye to the role of screaming harpies...if you believed a lot of the blogs you would think all female singers do is pull each others hair out. It's so patronising and sexist.

Gaga is all about pushing boundaries, shock value, etc. She doesn't OWN being Italian, Catholic, etc, but Gaga sure accentuates those things.
Also, Cyndi Lauper! I get Cyndi teas all over Bad Kids and Hair.

Gaga's more of a geek done good though. That's the image she puts out...she's "one of us". Madonna always had an aloof attitude and prescence from the start of her career...she always wanted to put across the vibe of an aspirational figure. Gaga's a lot warmer than M ever was. They are opposites in that sense.
Madonna's always liked being pretty too where as gaga rarely plays that game. She's more concerned with looking interesting or grotesque.
She's more Marilyn Manson meets Billy Joel than Madonna. Comparing her to Madonna is so lazy...but I suppose it's a compliment of sorts.

Yeah, now you've just screwed your ability to post anything intellectual to me here now so bye.
Secondly, yeah.. That really backs up your arguments. You know that music can have a personal message to anybody?
You know every album has a 'concept' and that the artist is still the same? Yeah, music is a bit different but still... It's pop and pop nowadays is dance as well.

I don't even understand most of your post. It doesn't make sense. You need to turn off Adele and Caro Emerald it's effecting your concentration.
