I think it helped a lot, and idk if Kanye's strategy would've worked since I don't see him doing the same. nah but thing about nicki is that she dont need no man to make **** happen for her, her feature work wouldve happen regardless, people saw that she was new female rapper and had a distinct sound. her own performances on other people's songs is was got her more features. i think kanye wouldve been perfect for her, she wouldve made her do what she's doing now WORKING DAT ASS OFF, kanye dont do nuthin but sign his people, the rest of their success is up to them

when it comes down to it, she wouldve had success with both of them, its the influence im worried about. kanye wouldnt have allowed her to be reusing verses and allowed some of the wayne type lyricism she do now

It was best that Lil' Wayne was Nicki's mentor. Idk y'all are saying Kanye West. He gets bored with stuff quickly. One moment he'll be riding 4 Nicki then he will find a new muse and won't need her anymore lol.

Lil' Wayne groomed Nicki into not only being a successful artist but also a successful business woman. He saw something in her that no one else did.
