Ugh I want her to tour in Asia so bad. It seems like it's the only area (besides Africa?) where she's not really big, but her going top 10 in ****ing China, and top 10 with WCS in Japan makes me wonder if she could maybe make it big there if she'd get her butt there every once in a while

Miley is pretty popular in the Philippines, but for an Asian country it's still a little westernized in the bigger cities. I don't think Miley was ever banned in China. Even in Chinatown here you can buy the Chinese editions of her albums in music stores. They might be Taiwanese, but still. I feel like the source for that was the World Weekly News anyway. I think Miley would be bigger if she just promoted more overseas. She did Rock In Rio Madrid and Lisbon for CBT and even that flop mess went #1 in Spain and Portugal for multiple weeks.

Australia #1? She's way bigger in Canada than Australia. I remember when Wrecking Ball sold 58k here the video week, which is equivalent to ~725k in the US. The only thing Australia has the upper hand in is tour receipts, but of course she's only had one show here up until now.

she went 2x platinum faster in Australia with WCS and WB than any other market. + like you said the touring receipts help.
and Adore You and Fall Down were decent hits there.
