Fans are fickle tbh. That's why it's best to just like what you like instead of what the majority does. Those are two very solid songs, but were criticized for two different reasons. ANDS was mainly only criticized because it was associated with Damita Jo, an album most people associate with the SB. So anything that came out from that time was gonna get criticized. Feedback was initially loved by fans, but when it only peaked at 19, that's when the script changed. Then fans started saying she was too old to be singing a song that mentioned her period. Now they love it. I think it's mainly due to her being gone so long and that allowed people to really sit back and listen to her 2000's work and they started listening to it differently. And when the possibility of her retiring began to surface, fans really started appreciating her more and her recent work.
