I've only seen this and Pride & Prejudice so far, as you mentioned before, so I can barely compare unfortunately.
P&P seemed different to me, the storyline was more intense & exciting to watch but that was probably due to me already knowing most of the story prior to the film so that shouldn't be surprising. But I'm not turned off so far, maybe I'll watch some of his other films later on.
