RG should have been sent to Pop two weeks ago. It seems the song will be sent on May 19, the same week the album debuts.

So this songs goes back to where it was before the iTunes banner and the Ellen performance. I don't know what to think anymore. It is like the song has no staying power! Even OneRepublic's new song is climbing with less airplay.

I see the album debuting with 55-60k . That's my final prediction.

I'd like him to do 70K at least, it would be fine considering the sales decrease in the music industry.

What i don't understand is why he's not doing any radio promo ? He needs to go there and play some songs for them so that they play his songs more and when the second single comes out, it'll do great but you can't just sit at home and expect them to play the song like crazy like an A lister artist.
I'm really worried for the second single, hope all will be fine though

Yeah radio tour for his first single was crucial (I doubt he is doing one this late close to the album release). I think the Canadian tour messed up his schedule a bit. He went on tour the same month the song premiered. Anyway, he is getting A LOT OF LOVE from HAC, Triple A (especially this one because the song is straight pop), and AC without a radio tour. Radio put their effort, but if the song hasn't picked up on sales, we can't blame Phillip's core formats. Interscope is doing this late as usual, the song needs to be on Pop if they want this to survive.

Interscope has given him promo, but it is all spread out. Not everything can be blamed on the label. Though they were the ones to approve RF on a Tuesday and then it was out the following Monday. They didn't think this through.

But waiting for the album relase instead of visiting radios these days is stupid imo and he has only one performance during album release, that's not enough

Except the Today Show the promo is lined up pretty good. Not like Phillip, Conan then 4 weeks later Ellen and then 4 weeks later Good Morning America. It's a mess!

Tbh I just think Raging Fire perhaps is not that strong of a song now which isn't connecting with the public all too much

It is a good song that has those good feeling lyrics, but I prefer Gone3x. I guess it is time to blame those three songwriters (they wrote Gone3x and Rf). I'm going to need for Phillip to kick those guys to the curb. Anyway if it where for Phillip he wouldn't have them, it is Interscope who stuck those songwriters with Phillip

But the fact that it rose to #6 on iTunes when he performed it on Idol after his fanbase already bought it proves that people like it besides it getting great reviews everywhere, people tweeting about how they love the song and all, so imo that's not the point.
It just needs exposure and better well organized promo, not one performance here and month later one performance there

True, but then why is it struggling to stay within the Top 100? I mean its still doing okay, but it should at least be in the Top 100

I'm with Ich on this one

despite new releases, Voice songs, etc, the song should have stayed in the top 100. For example, RF was in the same rank as Girls Chase Boys and Red Lights. The difference, those songs have staying power and RF just keeps going down. It seems like when people hear it on radio, they like it but apparently can't connect that it is a Phillips song or just don't love it enough to buy it.
