The lowdown: Just what every Britney fan has been clamoring for since “Big Fat Bass”: another will.i.am feature on her next album! This one finds two robots searching for something resembling human emotion as they try to fall in love. (“It should be easy!” they cry, but not everything is how you read it in a book.) Performed by slightly less convincing cousins of Apple operating system Siri, “It Should Be Easy” is rumored to be a contender for the Her 2 soundtrack.
ATRL says...: "This sounds like one of those YouTube parodies where they get a computerized voice to sing the lyrics," wrote J. YONCÉ. "What is this? 2009?" asked madonnas. But not every voter was so repulsed. "While the vocals are admittedly awful (they sound like they were auto-tuned 10 times over, filtered through an vocoder, and then listened to through broken headphones), they strangely fit the song," said Edge of Glory, confessing he bopped along. "Despite can.u.not making an appearance in the chorus, it's one of the catchiest songs to be found on the album."
Meanwhile, August imagined the song's origin story: "Britney asks will.i.am, 'Do you think we could make the worst song ever?' as she takes a sip of her Starbucks Ariana Grande Frappuccino. will.i.am reviews his discography and replies with, 'It should be easy.' He grins, impressed with himself. He just named said song right then and there, off the top of his head. Britney smiles, not sure why will.i.am is cackling in his seat. 'Cool.'"
Best bit: When everyone involved just shuts their mouths and leaves the synth line to slay souls in peace.
"It Should Be Easy" actually got the second-highest number of 1's in the rate (after "Jewels 'N' Drugs"), but it was buoyed by all those 10's. No other song has more until the top sixty.

Not "It Should Be Easy" being out already! It's one of my faves from the album tbh.
It's a good song production-wise, and lyrically (except for the little parts where Brit tries to fit 10 words into the span of a second) but the vocals really drag it down.
