I think this is gonna be like The Fame on acid. The Fame was hip, light, pop music. ARTPOP is gonna be hip, light, EDM/techno/whatever music.

The City is amazing, and not the typical basic-drop-before-the-last-chorus EDM song.

Except that's EDM, and that's what Zedd is. And there is a lot of variety in Electronic music, so you should expect drops on the album. He said they didn't try to make an EDM album, but they also didn't try not to make an EDM album.
