Hmm but just because she's charting high doesn't necessarily mean radio are going to play her. I hope they do, because she really deserves success in the US.
As a Brit I've never got my head round the concept that radio impressions are counted in the calculation of singles chart position. It just seems preposterous to me. Listening to the radio is a passive action at best and a very tenuous way of deciding popularity (you can only listen to what the station deems worthy of playing) - actually buying a song is very much a pro-active signal that you like the song (unarguably the best way of determining a song's poularity). And I'm sure the radio element in the calculation potentially opens up the possibility of some dodgy dealing.
We're also #81 on Spotify (last week). It should get a huge boost when the Top Lists update tomorrow. It could really reach high on the Hot 100 with the current standings. Streaming now.
