Not at all. Dance Video is for videos of dance songs, which doesn't necessarily mean that there is dancing in the video (though this is more often than not the case).

Choreography is for videos with choreographed routines, which doesn't necessarily mean that the video is just one long dance routine. Technically, fight choreography and other types of routines (like those in OK Go videos) should be eligible for this award, but the norm is typically to only nominate dance choreography.

Bey fans don't have to get mad. Dance Video is for dance music; not videos with dancing... I said it yesterday but one more time doesn't hurt.
I 100% believe though, that they brought it back last year to give an extra award to Gaga
Beyoncé still has Coreography on lock (and I'm almost sure that she's going to win), Female video, Video of The Year & other tech. categories to be nominated in.

that's what I was saying, I think most Vids under the dance category always dance in it. The two categories aren't necessarily the same but they are similar.

Exactly. I said this yesterday. "Run The World" could be considered for "dance video" for more reasons than just the genre of music. Anything "up-tempo" and "dancy" could be considered for Dance Video.
