You all might not believe this, but Dani has been here for a very long time. A VERY long time. She first started when she was 14, and ... well there are some things she did then that she might regret now. But she soon evolved, and her evolution has caused a combination of pride, fear, disgust and empathy within me - I feel like her parent! She's become a unmistakeable part of this crazy site, always there to provide shade and stan for things that don't really need to be stanned for. (CHRISANNA.) But that's why we love her, right?
Plus, she and Tierra are kind of like an ATRL version of Thelma and Louise - or, at least, Laverne and Shirley.
Best Moment: When Dani first signed up, we had a subforum called The Sex Lounge. (how PRESCIENT of us.) Dani was that subforum's top dog, endlessly wondering about the penis sizes of any and all male celebrities. She really broke the mold on that one.
It's hard to believe, but ATRL was not so chart - obsessed. Well, we kinda were - we had recapes of TRL every day, but that was it. One day, somewhere in between fall 03 and winter 03-04, one enterprising soul changed all of this. There had been discussion on how some of our favorite pop stars were doing at radio ('Me Against the Music' had just ... underperformed), and people were curious as to how radio charts were compiled/tabulated. Justin, then (and always), known as GoldenBoy, found the first Mediabase chart and posted it here. It didn't even seem like a big deal back then; in retrospect, he fundamentally changed the (partial) function of this forum.
But that wasn't it. Justin was (and I think whoever will be #3 can back me up on this) one of the most attractive posters we've ever had here. He got along with everybody, and made it known that he wanted to be a singer. Almost all of the girls had slight crushes on him. Which was why, in a sea of gays, we were all caught completely off guard when he came out of the closet. It was maybe the most shocking outing this site has ever seen.

no other stan of anyone can really compare to Dead Psycho, can they? I think that DPese should be taught at every major college/university. It's a true romance language, so enchanting that no matter what is actually being said, it's impossible to stay angry for too long. Anyone who can seriously compare Beyonce's vagina to heaven is a genius. He's a genius all day long.

What do I say about someone who brought me from crayons to perfume? It isn't easy but I'll try ...
Mikal was another poster who was almost completely different from any other poster here. While everyone else was listening to Britney or Avril or Linkin Park in the 02, Mikal was rocking out to Kylie, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Liberty X and Sugababes. He had a distinctly European perspective, from his musical taste to his humor (very catty/witty/bitchy). In him, I (and I suspect many others) found a kindred spirit - and Mikal's uniqueness hasn't abated yet.

Best Moment: Before there was Patrick, Mikal was the lone Eurovision watcher here. He still stans for his continental cheesefest!

It feels really lame to justify a woman's position on this list by defining her through a relationship with a man, but in Melissa's case, I feel like I have to. You see, Melissa was one of the first posters/chat regulars here. She wanted to be a teacher, she lived in New Jersey and she was all around cool. Here, she met Ryan, a poster from Kentucky who was three years younger. (Remember, we were all still teenagers.) Unlike the kids of today, the relationship was the furthest thing from illicit. It did get serious, though, and they fell in love. I believe they even met each other. Years later, they broke up and Mel found a new guy. Subsequently, she stopped posting. I guess in the divorce of Mel and Ryan, she got real life - and he got us. Who really won?

Jeff was an asshole.
A mondo-asshole. He got off on being a mondo-asshole. This is not just my opinion, but the opinion of everyone who was here when he posted. He thought a lot of himself, but unlike some people (who are yet to come), he had little to nothing to back it up. He listened to Linkin Park for goodness sakes! LINKIN PARK. No one cries over his absence, but his assholeosity was so spectacular - and so singular - he had to place.
Best Moment: On Lil Wayne's line in 'Soldier' (can't see me on the block/I'm camouflaged), Jeff replied: Of course not, he's too dark .... (Or something to that effect.
I laughed.
Oh, I was definitely a douche. Of course I was like a 15-17 year old douche. And apparently, I was racist too? Well that's adorable.
The only thing I'd disagree with is your "he listened to Linkin Park for goodness sakes", as since they have just proven with their amazingly great new album, they ended up having staying power and artistic merit unlike most of the "artists" people creamed themselves over back in 2003/2004.
I'm kind of shocked I had such an impact to see that I would make #45 on a list like this. Thank you, thank you.
