Also RITD actual is bigger as it has additional versions(~100K in sales) from when it was single, so total is about 6,6M for this song.

If the 6.5 million figure is from the latest Soundscan amount, then the 100k from 2010 should be counted in that toal.

Two more weeks and it will be over 2 million. I still have this thought in my mind that it will reach 3 million someday.

According to BPI
http://www.bpi.co.uk/certifiedawards/Search.aspx
ADELE - 21
14 x Platinum Certification (Album) 16. December 2011
XL BEGGARS (XL RECORDINGS)
Released 24. January 2011
So that's about 4,2 million (21) albums shipped (in UK) as of December 16th.

Midweek Charts: Adele's 21 on verge of 4 million UK sales
Adeles 21 will sometime today become only the eighth album in history to achieve 4 million UK sales and now looks like heading back to number one for a 21st week.
So Adele has reached 4 million actual "sales" by now!

Adele to topple Delta Goodrem
BRITISH singer Adele is on track to break another chart record in Australia.
Her album 21 is No.1 here for the 29th week, equalling the chart-topping run of Delta Goodrem's Innocent Eyes in 2003 and Neil Diamond's Hot August Night in 1983.
If 21 stays on top for another week it will tie with the Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, 30 weeks at No.1 from August 1967.
The next hurdle for Adele will be the 34 weeks Dire Straits' Brothers in Arms spent at No.1 in 1985.
The longest-running No.1 album in Australian chart history is The Sound of Music soundtrack (1965).
It spent a remarkable 77 weeks at No.1, a feat unlikely to be matched.
Adele's 21 has sold 840,000 copies in 13 months in Australia, receiving a boost after her recent Grammy and Brit Awards.
Her DVD Live at the Royal Albert Hall has been No.1 for the 13 weeks it has been released.
She is the subject of a major bidding war between local tour promoters.

And there was little promotion of this album... only a few performances on TV and the rest just her amazing music and VOICE making this album the biggest-selling album of 2011 and I believe it will also be the #1 this year

THIS WEEK UPDATE: FEBRUARY 29th: Not unexpectedly, Adele's "21" album spends a 22nd week atop the Billboard 200 chart, selling 297,000 (down 59%) according to Nielsen SoundScan. It's now the longest-running No. 1 since Prince & the Revolution's "Purple Rain" soundtrack scored 24 weeks at No. 1 in 1984 and 1985.
This is also "21's" ninth consecutive week at No. 1 -- the most in-a-row frames at No. 1 since the "Titanic" soundtrack racked 14-straight in 1998.
"21" -- released just over a year ago in the U.S. -- has now sold 7.65 million in the U.S. Of that figure, 1.83 million were shifted in 2012.
Adele has a second album in the top 10 this week, as her first set, "19," descends 4-7 with 39,000 (down 56%)
As of this week, 21 is the best-selling album in the U.S. since Usher's 2004 blockbuster Confessions. 21 has sold 7,649,000 copies, which enables it to surpass Nickelback's 2005 hit All The Right Reasons (7,577,000) to become the best-seller since Confessions (9,962,000).
1. Adele, 21, 297,000. The album logs its 22nd week at #1. This is its 53rd week in the top 10. The album sold 65K digital copies this week, which puts it at #1 on Top Digital Albums for the 15th week. Five songs from the album are listed on Hot Digital Songs, topped by "Set Fire To The Rain," which dips from #4 to #5.
Adele's Live At The Royal Albert Hall is #1 on Top Music Videos for the 12th straight week. The DVD sold 31K copies this week, bringing its total to 680K.
Adele's "Set Fire to the Rain" slips 4-5 (167,000; down 34%)
HDD
ONE DAYS: Look for Adele's 21 to spend her 23rd week atop the album charts next week, and it might be her last one for now with Columbia labelmate Bruce Springsteens Wrecking Ball set to hit retail next Tuesday.
UK Midweeks
21 #1
19 #9
The seemingly unstoppable Adele continues to blaze through chart achievement after chart achievement.
The Official Charts Company yesterday confirmed that the singer/songwriters second album 21 has overtaken Michael Jacksons Bad to become the eighth biggest selling album of all time in the UK. As if that wasnt enough, Adeles lead in todays Official Albums Chart Update also now puts her on course to spend her 22nd non-consecutive week in the albums top spot. Combined with the one week she spent at Number 1 with her debut album, 19, another chart-topping week would see Adele this Sunday overtaking music legend David Bowie in the number of career weeks spent at Number 1 in the Official Albums Chart.
Both David Bowie and Dire Straits have to date amassed 22 weeks in the albums top slot, Adele is set to score her 23rd this weekend if she maintains her lead. It is The Beatles who currently hold the UK record with an astounding career total of 174 album weeks at Number 1, and in terms of female solo artists, Adele only has Madonna to beat now, who is just ahead at 29 weeks.
YTD USA sales.
21 - Adele 1.529.000
19 - Adele 246.000
TOTALS:
21 - Adele 7.649.000
19 - Adele 1.986.000
Top six selling weeks for 21 in the US.

The sales from Week #1-4 don't include North America. It wasn't released in the US about a month later, hence why week 5 has a spike in sales.
