Yeah her record will be the shortest stay for a #1, I'm sure that there must be albums which have peaked lower and only spent one week in the top 40.
Yes, there would probably be a good few that have built up over time. Christina's records stem from the fact that she was number 1, she'd almost have been better off with a #2 peak.
How can anyone's album do so poorly, I'd rather my album skirt around the lower parts of the top 40 than that happening.
It's really strange, the only reasonable explanation is that each of her fans must have bought multiple copies of the album in its first week. That would explain why it has fallen so much since, its position was inflated to begin with.
