the way the media describes Adele, you would think she had a powerful Whitney-esque voice, Prince's musicianship, Joni Mitchell's songwriting capabilities
I got to give it to her though, she managed to create this image that has fooled lots of people.
Beyoncé is way more talented than Adele. It's irrelevant if one writes their music and the other does not when one's output is boundary-pushing gender-bending controversy-inducing art while the other makes pleasant but middling basic and mass-produced sap ballads. Beyoncé is a better singer anyway.
And I'm not even gonna touch the performance aspect because by that Beyoncé is one of the most talented people ever.
It's not false. And it's not like Adele is a Prince or even a Taylor Swift. She does not write her songs all by herself anymore so she's even less talented than Beyoncé.
