Sis what have YOU been smoking? She's my favorite after both Williams sisters and she's the best fighter on tour after Serena. She has the game to beat anyone on tour and she routinely makes it to the latter stages of tournaments. She will win every major (hard pressed for a French with that cow being a clay specialist now but we'll see).

Anyways in the meantime I'm just hoping for a good result at the USO for both Serena and Venus. Should they both lose, maybe they should just retire together

In the 2nd week, the grass court will be just as slow or at least somewhere near close to a clay court. And they considerably slowed it down this year.

I think we are transitioning to an era of court specialist, with them marking territory on their respective court. But I don't think Petra is that grey, I love her.

I wouldn't say she's bad but she's not GOOD either.

She's won Wimbledon before

She has two grass court titles (1 Wimbledon, 1 Birmingham in 2004)

She's just made her 9th second week at Wimbledon today

She was stopped by the eventual champion from 2005-07, 2010, 2011, eventual semifinalist in 2012. 2009 (injuries) and 2013 (injuries) were her only blips.

So she's not Torro Flor on this surface, but she's no Williams Sister either

Sharapova is not a great threat on grass. Top form Lisicki and Petra would beat her.

The thing is Sharapova is easily the most consistent player on tour right now. Yes, even more consistent than Serena I'd say.

As much as I am a Pova stan, I don't want her to win this. Petra needs this to turn her career around.

oh well. i just hope Simona won't lose to her for the 5th time now if they play semis. a victory against Sharapova would be great for her mindset, a 3rd defeat within 2 months not so much. Simona is a fast player and grass should normally where she displays her best game but she doesn't have much experience on this surface, best she's ever been at Wimbledon was R64 last year.

it's a bit annoying to see people requesting a personality from these professional players to be honest, in a few years we'll request them to scream SLAY! and DRAG! at each other?

they are supposed to be great tennis players first and foremost, this is why i feel half of Sharapova's stans are rooting for her because she's beautiful.

Simona has a very sweet personality and she's so focused on everything she does, her interviews in Romanian are really nice to watch but her English, while it got obviously better, still represents a bit of an issue when it comes to showcasing her inner playful side.

maybe if she kept her old boobs people would pay more attention to her anyway.

I hope she wins. But I don't even think she'll get there, she's gonna have to go through Lisicki (if Lisicki wins today) and beating Lisicki on grass is tough. You need to be Maria Sharapova (after not winning the French ) or Marion Bartoli (Grass GOAT ). She can do it though and if they do play against each other, I may favor Halep because she nearly beat Pova on Pova's best surface and grass is, arguably, Halep's best surface (for her game)

No way.

She's shown it at both the USO 2012 and 2013. Even at the AO 2012-2014 (but she lost to Aga being injured). She's gonna come back hungrier than ever this USO summer series and I can see her winning it all if Serena flops one more time.
