"A Perfect Sky" is the 21st single released by BONNIE PINK. The title track was used as the Shiseido "ANESSA" commercial song. The song was not originally meant to be a single, but when it received high interest due to the commercial, a single was quickly commissioned. This single reached #5 on the Oricon weekly charts and charted for 14 weeks, and is currently BONNIE PINK's most successful single.
"CAN YOU CELEBRATE?" is is the seventh single released by Amuro Namie, and her third vinyl release. The song is a gospel influenced ballad and it was released around Valentine's Day. It was used as the theme for the dorama Virgin Road and the Maxell MD commerical song. The song became one of Amuro's biggest hits, earning her an invite to both 1997 & 1998's end of the year program Kohaku Uta Gassen. It also won her several awards that year such as the Best Single Award at the 39th Japan Record Awards.
The single reached #1 on the weekly Oricon chart, and continued to rank for a total of 40 weeks. It sold 2,296,200 copies, becoming the #1 single of 1997. This is listed as being Amuro's best-selling single, and her only single to sell over two million copies. It is currently listed as being the #14 best-selling single of all time in Japan, and the best-selling single by a female artist.
