I can't stay late for this. I'm already planning to spend the night near laptop on Sunday night for the Grammys. I think there will be videos tommorrow.
Watching JGMAR with Nate from the TTAL promo show (the same one Lily 'Rose Cooper' Allen sang at) and he wasn't that bad. No stage presence compared to Pink, but not terrible vocally.
My good friend Atrlster sent me his review of TTALT DVD now there is one thing he absolutely STANNED for
Quote:
Sober: Sober is a song that might not be in my Top 5 of P!nk songs but it's pretty close to it. It's such a perfect blend of genres - pop melody, pop structure, alternative guitars, classical strings, and hip hop influenced rock drums
I had heard about her doing something on a chandelier, but I was not ready for this! Glitter in The Air left me feeling bored. This had on my edge of my seat and gasping. When I told you I had to rewatch this concert, it was because of this. It was a definitely turning point for me. I watched this part over and over and even kept watching youtube performances of this.
It's definitely her most exciting performance ever of hers because it looks the one with the most danger. It doesn't seem like she's warning harnesses, right? For her to risk her life to do this makes this so thrilling! Walking on this chandelier while it's so high in the sky where she could fall off. and then relying on her dancers to not her go. I mean if this thing fell, it would be a bloody mess
And the dancers too, especially the male dancers at the end where they just hung on by one arm and then hung by their legs were great. I kind of wish P!nk had joined them, but I'm just being greedy. Overall, great performance, and one that needs to be seen by more people!!!
Waiting for Love is her best song ever but I actually prefer this vocal performance. She doesn't get to do a lot of runs, mostly belts, but she's so confident and as always, it's so easy to get into the emotional state of the song and she absolutely nails every thing here.
Not to mention her chemistry with John Legend is off the charts.
yeaaaah stan for me a bit, I mean what kind of ATRL Mother Theresa am I?
Creating the Hive and Underdogs Alliance, being friends with Atrlster even so close that i asked him to write a review of the DVD when he watches and he did
Nah but really Atrlster is a great guy.
I hope she has more songs like that in her next album. Then she can add Best Pop Vocal Album to her 5 Grammy wins.
Yes - that Sober choreography is amazing! The first time I saw it I was like OMG. My jaw dropped. And I remember feeling scared for her (I went to the LA show so it's the second or third show) hoping she won't injure or kill herself.
