When Kelly releases What Doesn't Kill You to Pop Radio, she needs to release the Smoackstack version of Hello or The Sun Will Rise to country radio. Make those her lead singles for country, then finish off with Breaking Your Own Heart. I need KC to come for the wigs of some of them country broads.
I'd really want her to release a song to country radio just to see what happens but I feel like some hardcore country fans would get pretty prissy if a pop star tried to do something like that... although Kelly has significant ties with the country industry.
Some of you guys must not follow country music. Yes, Kelly's had a lot of success with her duets, but she's never sold a country song on her own. Country music is one of the biggest payola, "buddy-buddy" of all genres. Obviously, she has connections because of Narvel, but if she were to sell a country song she'd have to invest the time to actually market it herself over there. With her schedule and touring, I don't think she'd have the time to do that.
However, if one of the country influenced songs (Breaking Your Own Heart, Sun Will Rise) was somehow attached to a country project, then it could work. Similar to how "Country Strong" did ok on the Country charts because it was a song from a movie about Country music.
i dunno bout a WDKY performance at AMA'S i really want her to but....? shes booked in for loose women( uk's version of the view) and confirmed to be singing MKIA on nov.9. I know it's next week but the week atfer is when y'all want the single to be released to radio! It not the smoothest transition . For the most part in totally agree bout WDKY, it needs to be released like now to be a killer WW, it should boost sales for the album!!! Also i just realised if they were to release it now, with such a big year next year, which i'm expecting her to promote throughout, we are likely to see at least two more singles out from the album!!!! I say let me down or TWIO as third and IFY as forth!!!
