Is Currents the first Psychedelic Pop. album with Synthpop influences y'all have heard...or?
Do I have to explain how genre works in terms of 2 different albums borrowing from one similarly (or more in this case) to you... Cuz it's 5:30
They borrow the same things from the exact same genres, just because they aren't a carbon copy of one another doesn't mean they aren't similar for a recommendation of someone wanting to explore those types of sounds. Kelela & Nao are unique to themselves but are still similar, just like Stevie Wonder & Marvin Gaye are consistently compared and more often than not if you dig one you'll dig the other. And as a bonus, these 2 albums have been compared quite a lot

Anyways, anything over the past month I should be checking out?
Been working on listening to the /mu/ essential album list and Deathconsciousness by Have a nice life is amazing. Makes Joy Division sound like child's play in the post punk genre

Joyce Manor's Cody came out sometime last month and it's great.
Also the Sleigh Bells album if you missed it although I found it lackluster.
I don't know, I feel like it gave me a lot of mediocrity. Last year >>> 2011-2013 >>>>
Like my #1 album currently would probably be #9-11 on any other year It's really good though but you know. I would say about 75%-85% of the artists I pay attention to released material inferior to their previous release.
