That's not a ranking. Poker Face was the 12th song to be put into power this year. Power rotation is when Z100 plays 3-4 songs about 80-100 times per week. It usually effects the way it charts on Mediabase as many stations try to follow a similar pattern.

"Use Somebody" was HUGE on Z100. I wouldn't be surprised if they added "Sex on Fire" on Thursday.

And Rich Girls by DWW? I understand why Canadian radio *****d this, and it was a moderate hit in Canada, but what is American radio doing playing that crap?

I hope they add Heaven Can Wait though. It's a pretty nice tune.

"Sex on Fire" was their first single in the U.S. on alternative radio. However, it was not released to pop radio until after "Use Somebody." Of course, it hit number one on Mediabase's CHR/Top 40 chart which has a lot of pop stations interested in them.

As for "Rich Girl$," there are a few Canadian stations that report to Mediabase as they can be heard on U.S. radio frequencies near the U.S.-Canadian border. By Canadian law, those stations are required to play a certain amount of Canadian artists. It sometimes gets to be such a great amount, they appear in the top 100 of the CHR/Top 40 chart, and then some U.S. stations see it in there and add it to there playlist. They usually stall in the mid 70s, but apparently it's doing well on the U.S. stations that added it. The only other Canadian song I can remember doing that is The White Tie Affair's "Candle (Sick and Tired)," which was eventually released to the U.S.. I don't think it was ever added by Z100, though.

Believe it or not, "Sex on Fire" was actually released for pop adds shortly after the song hit #1 on alternative radio which was like this past March. Of course, it flopped, and they quickly released "Use Somebody" shortly after. It seems to be doing well, and could possibly pull off a "Who Knew".

I know Rich Girl$ didn't make that song. tcatron wasn't sure if Z100 ever added "Candle".
