I feel like this is a lot less R&B than Sailing Souls and Sail Out.

Actually...its more alternative R&B than her other works. In a way, that makes it more approachable with the type of music that is gaining popularity these days.

But yeah I agree. I don't normally go for R&B at all but Jhene really pulls me in.

I didn't listen to any of her other work, I heard "The Worst" and didn't really like it. Decided to give the album a listen anyway because I'd heard it was good through mutual friends. Was pleasantly surprised.

tbh, I feel like this is more Jhene than the mixtape or EP. Little by little, she worked her way to this sound. She really eased her R&B fans into this sound perfectly
