When it's labeled as "with" both get equal credit as lead artist but with "feat" the other artist is just a guest in the song, not as important as the lead one.
Imagine if Rihanna is only for the U.S. and they replace her for the Spanish markets versions with some unknown Latin Queen aka belinda or something
I can't imagine Rihanna on a Spanish version. Either a new lead single for Latin America (maybe that explains her other shoot?) or complete new Spanish album next year too

It didn't "flop" per say but it underperformed. It only sold 2 Million Worldwide and LA didn't help that much because it was mostly an english album. The problem was her label that only released 2 singles in the US, it was a mess.
