Harley Quinn and Deadshot are easily the highlights and two characters you will mostly feel invested in. They are super accessible. I wish they had more of an inclusion when it came to Katana. Jared's Joker was alright but nothing close to the Gotham maniac we all infamously know. Heath really DID that role. Another performance I didn't buy was Cara's but when she is in her primary witch form , she is convincing.

I'd go with around 3.5/10. Certainly better than the 2/10 that was BvS, at least, but still pretty bad.

Entirely too reliant on flashbacks which ruins the narrative.

Some of the characters were just a mess too.Thank god Joker was barely there. Flag was just insufferable.

I loved Harley, but talk about the biggest misrepresation of her r/s with Joker

It's a FUN movie which is mostly what the trailers sold.

The villain is a mess, although as fan of the DC Universe that villain comes from, I'm so happy this movie embraced this SO EASILY.

If this movie works for you, it's because of the characters. Margot, Will, Diablo, Viola, heck even Courtney, they all give great performances and do the ABSOLUTE MOST with the material they had.

I loved Harley, she was amazing.


WHY IS THE SCORE SO LOW? The movie has choppy editing at times, the music cues might not be for everybody, the movie makes an emotional transition towards the 3rd act based off the backstory of some of these characters. If you know that, you'll be on board. If you don't(most of the people), you won't get it.


I'm happy that Ayer made a character driven movie but I'm also sad he only got 6 weeks to work on the script. If he did this in 6 weeks, imagine what he would've done in 4-6 months.


I give it a 7/10. Embracing the movie for what it is is key to enjoy it as much as I did.

And also, the cameos are handled pretty well.

I don't understand how they managed to make this movie two hours long without expanding on a single one of the awesome scenes or funny lines teased in the trailers? They added a few more potentially great trailer lines/clips, but I literally can't think of a single thing in any of the trailers that I was excited for that ended up being anything longer than what was shown in the trailer - IF it even turned up in the movie at all. The amount of scenes that were cut.

I was so over the soundtrack by the 6th song (20 minutes into the movie), they were just so distracting and not needed. Glad they seemed to die off (or I managed to ignore them) by the time the "story" started.

Those tragic flashback origin storys were so unnecessary and awful. It must be a sin in at least one religion what they did to the "blink and you'll miss it" Mad Love story. Absolutely sacrilegious. Deserves to be a standalone movie, not this. I did like their 2 second recreation of the iconic Joker/Harley dance/pose though.

Ima stop myself before I write a dissertation, I think I've made my point.




Don't even try to come at me with the comic book stan war rubbish either, I dislike more Disney Marvel movies than I enjoy, and thought Batman v Superman was pretty great.

Nobody laughed at Harley Quinn in the packed screening I was at. She just didn't work. Will Smith was the only character who actually felt like maybe a real person.

By the way, what exactly is her "ability"? Hitting people with a bat and shooting?

Just watched for the second time, its definitely a solid 7/10.
Flaws are that its rushed, editing and the press photos of The Joker were better than his performance.

The top audience laughs that came from the two screenings I experienced were

"Delete my browser history"
Harley getting punched in the face by Batman
"Except him.. He's ugly on the outside too"
