I think this is a new generation. But even if it isn't, it will be somewhat of a completion of XY.

Why would they even remake Gold and Silver? The next in line for the remakes would be Diamond and Pearl but that will for sure not happen on the 3DS anymore.

One of them has the worst designs in the series, the other has the least content/difficulty in the series. Both pandered as much as possible to the older games.

The thing I don't like about generation 5 is that it heavily contributed to the stigma that "the creators are running out of ideas."

Also, Gen 4 has Garchomp, the queen of pop in the Pokemon universe.
