I don't like being on the edge teetering like this though because I've supported Britney since I was 14...
I'm so happy the music is still great because chile...

Stealing my predictions, I see.
Hope it manages to snatch 80k (my updated prediction after hearing the video snippet), but it definitely won't top that.

She's doing really good in streaming and radio, video will push her on iTunes so I'm not worried.

Her current position on iTunes doesn't change that the song had its best streaming day yesterday (and has shown growth every day) and that radio is quickly picking the song up. It's already almost Top 20 on pop (meaning it will debut on the AT40 this week.)
It isn't delusion. Songs tend to peak now in their 9th-20th weeks due to radio and streaming. A good predictor of how well it will do in the long run is how it does on Shazam during its first 1-7 (or so) weeks. Songs that chart in the Top 10-20 on that app during that span go on to be huge hits 75% of the time. During its first week on Shazam, Make Me is already number 1 in some cities, Top 20 in places all over the country, and currently sits at number 20 in all of North America and that data only includes a few days of release.
It isn't 2011 anymore. iTunes holds far less weight than it used to now that streaming is so big. Along with requests, radio program directors across the country look at things like Shazam, iheartradio, and streaming services to determine what their audience wants them to play. In turn radio will expose the song to more people who then will stream or buy it. Just give the song some time. Having a hit song these days is about the long game. Not debuting at number 1 and then quickly falling off.

That could be a problem considering Britney's history in the charts, but Make Me... acceptance on streaming and radio is giving me hope (even if her team is so lost in translation) so far.

You guys need to remember how sequels work.
If the first movie is great and the second movie is great, it will have a strong opening and longevity.
If the first movie is great and the second movie is bad, it will have a strong opening and fall like a rock.
The first movie is bad and the second movie is great, it will have a terrible opening but longevity.
If the first movie is bad and the second movie is bad, it will flop.
Britney is coming off of the Britney Jean era and a lambasted flop, PG. Obviously the new single wasn't going to smash out the gate. Put some effort in to making it the long-lasting smash she needed.

Oh, I completely agree with you. If we go by Britney's historical trends, I'd definitely come to the same conclusion. Like you said though, radio and streaming currently look promising and that's what conventional hits are built off of in 2016. What remains to be seen, however, is how "conventional" this single is for Britney. Does it play by the same rules as a majority of the other songs on the charts currently or, like Britney, does it do its own thing?
It's exciting either way. The music is good so any success it sees is just icing on the cake! I like to see success come Britney's way, though, so I'm hoping for the best. I'm ready for a Britney single that slow-burns instead of the flashes in the pan like we saw in the late-2000's/early 2010's*.
*I shouldn't misrepresent the success she saw with her Femme Fatale singles and assists around that time. I believe TTWE and IWG are two of her biggest radio hits ever and they did it organically. Day after day they slowly added to their airplay audiences. She even had some pop radio #1's during this stretch, if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, I Wanna Go went #1 on Pop... IWG was an unexpected hit... It built up after the music video, climbed its way to the Hot 100 Top 10, became Britney's 6th Pop radio #1 and ended up being her song with the biggest radio audience ever.

I Wanna Go really is a case to be more closely studied, especially when it comes to Britney. It was and still is a surprise to me how things turned out and it managed to go Top 10 on the Hot 100 and #1 on Pop.

Well, if we're counting the Be Gone Jean era and PG, Make Me... shouldn't even exist, as a 3rd movie would definitely not have been made if the two previous ones were both bags of rightfully rejected ****.

That's why we're lucky Britney is the "Star Wars" of the music world. She can release a few duds here and there, but holds the star-power to weather the storm and have whatever's next still be hotly anticipated!

Also, OBHs are effectively known as Yolandas now since they're bigger fans than we are
