Okay, so I've slept for few hours and I can tell you that Taylor's performance was a solid 6. She could've done something more unforgettable, unique. She was dancing well, singing... welp ( ) and the overall impression was rather positive yet you felt hunger and wanted more.
Taylor's whole VMA appearance is 3/10. They didn't show her that much. I thought we could more enjoy her dancing, not to mention everyone was shading Taylor left and right.

Its all okay, i like it too. When i read its title, i thought it was going to be a generic EDM song with tons of bass, and talking about getting down to that beat (no pun intended). I was expecting something like "Turn Down For What" lmao. Then i listened and i got a huge surprise when the song was nothing like i expected, nor the lyrics were about what i thought they would be
I don't think it grew because the performance was really nothing special, seemed like the run of the mill pop performance, she really should've pushed and done something different and bigger, but it just felt thrown together like a iHeartFest performance.
Taylor was the best dressed tonight and y'all will deal. This is how my perfect woman should look. And I told you a few hours before the show, she was going to bare her legs. I just knew that. This is POP. This is how pop music works. And I'm a pop-music-holic.

The way she describes it is so exciting it could've come across as her just selling out but it doesn't have that effect at all. More like a whole new adventure with her music.
And it's clearly not her "ditching" country, since this is just her first pop album she could have a completely country album next for all we know.
