I am not bothered by them failing to get the record.

a. It leaked before hand.
b. Only 3 days of promo as opposed to 7.
c. Less general promo going on.


I agree that they should focus on radio though. I think Jungle is wrong...... radio is the gatekeeper to everything. They would never have achieved what they had if WMYB hadn't been so big on radio.

Thing is. On-demand streaming only reaches those actively searching out a song/artist.

1D already has their "base" saturated. They need to reach outside of it if they want to keep growing. That is where radio is a must.
