KB eminem may not be redundant or whatever but I just find him slightly overrated. Especially by people who claim he is the best yet don't know any other ish about hip hop
I know plenty about hip-hop and he's easily top 5. There's no denying that he's probably the most global rapper ever because of white male privilege, but a lot of people look at his race and completely dismiss the fact that he's a talented MC.

I mean I'm not directing that at you. I'm speaking in general. It's ok if you think he's overrated. You're entitled to your opinion. I mean I think Jay-Z (of today) and Kanye West are overrated. I feel like Eminem's word play and technical skills are some of the best ever. Everyone's not going to be here for him because some prefer a sick beat to ride, some prefer different subject matter. There are so many intangibles, but I love Eminem's words and how he delivers them.

I'm really just speaking in a general perspective because a lot of people in this thread are trippin' because I like Eminem and calling him trash. So him just shooting down a lot of the popular reasons many of them cite that he sucks.
I agree with you though but it is just frustrating when ppl know nothing about hip hop and want to make grandiose statements like Em is King. IDC if anyone gravitates towards him and think he is top 5 as long as you are knowledgeable on other artists and their contributions as well. I do think Em is great (but still slightly overrated) and loved how he bodied Jay on Renegade. I think Jay is overrated always has been but I still think he's a terrible lyricist like his detractors state about him (not directing it towards you). I don't think Kanye is overrated or underrated I think he is just fine where he's at.
