I think the semi open world is fine. I just wished there weren't loading screen between lots in one hood.

Well, if the lots were open too then it would be like the Sims 3 all over again and the place where your sim is would most likely be empty.

It's funny because even on TS2, the active lot would have 2 or 3 townies MAX even though on the same device, the lots on TS4 get more people.

Yeah, the downside is that if you lived in the outskirts, they would take some time going from that part to the actual town but the landscape was beautiful and the oven for pizzas/pasta >>>>

Well it depends on how many sims your game can spawn in the hood.
But with only like 4 lots in a hood they would definitely be more visited than in the sims 3

The open world in University was the worst. Having your Sims take forever to get to class only to get stuck in front of the door with like 20 others and ending up late

I'm used to the closed world again now. They feel better in Windenburg because there's actually a lot of stuff to do in one lot, whereas in the base game worlds I kept switching because I got bored. Plus with a closed world you get an extra hour or so to do things that would otherwise be spent driving to the lot in TS3. I really wouldn't want to go back to an open world at this point, the loading screens don't bother me at all anymore.

Also there better be a new worlds coming. All we've got since launch is a rehash of Willow Creek and Windenburg, which is admittedly completely gorgeous but not enough on its own for two years into the game.

I love the way same sex couples in The Sims 4 can now get pregnant and have biological offspring without adopting.

I am so glad they're removing the gender clothing restraints. It'll feel more like a life-simulation game this way as you can truly create anyone you want, anyway you choose how. This is a step in the right direction

Hopefully this carries on over to the highly anticipated Sims 5!
