And yet Katy got all the banners "out of nowhere" on a friday, only to lose almost all of them one day later? I don't think it is planned that much ahead. I believe management can have talks and make things happen. Even so, they have known they would release the song for over two months now.
I, for one, am very happy with the fact the song exceeded my expectations - both in quality and charting - but I simply cannot deal with stupidity or lack of will to do your job properly, especially when it is definitely not rocket science. In other words, it is not about "oh, it needs to go #1 or it will ruin my experience", it's about being incompetent - I don't accept mediocrity.
