Anyone else wonder how different the era would have been if Madonna didn't take the SuperBowl performance away from Gaga?

Not very different. The BTW started losing steam way before the SuperBowl.
I can't even describe how exited I am for the new era. I love stanning for an artist that not only delivers, but surprises EVERY TIME.

Exactly, I think the it was losing steam, but the superbowl being as big as it is and knowing Gaga this "might" have been her best performance ever since it's a massive thing, I could definitely see BTW album, and it's singles doing a lot better, like longevity wise. She might have hit that 2 mil mark quicker, and maybe finished near 2.5-2.75mil in the US

Nah XD MTN was dead, gone, and forgotten by that time anyway. she would have gained a slight boost but nowhere near as much without new music from a new album.

I think you guys are too cynical. Maybe MTN yes, but the album would have seen atleast a push. I definitely think. If small performances in the UK push album sales, and the tour is giving album sales a push, the superbowl would have ended the era nicely with a final big promo for the album (not including the tour).

It depends. What was the position in the U.S by the Superbowl time? I think that BTW will get a slight boost in sales when she comes back to the U.S, but I truly don't believe it would have made much a difference. At that point she had already headlined almost every major show in the U.S and some big ones outside the U.S and the sales were already stalling here. Maybe we'll see an increase with the tour for sure.

I guess I could see it getting a push if she had done an SNL like performance (Except of epic proportions.) Stripped down alternative version of a song followed by a huge closer.
AS LONG as it wasn't MTN being performed.

It's all very plausible but I guess we'll never find out now Tbh I'm glad the era was over. Unlike many, I actually enjoyed it. But I am definitely ready for new music.

I enjoyed it as well. But I didn't really fully appreciate it until recently when I saw a this highlight reel a fan made and I almost cried. It really was an amazing era. SO many great performances, some of her best fashion, ideas that seemed ridiculous at the time but are genius now looking back.

I loved this era through all the good and bad. It was true when Gaga said her next era would be a test for her true fans. It's gave us some of her best music to date, some of her greatest fashion and great opportunities for her next eras of music.

Yessssssss. Princess Die sounds like it could be one of her best ballads if produced right.

Me too.
I just hope it doesnt have that classic rock vibe she's been tainting her best ballads with.
Speechless live >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> spiders >>> studio version.

With stations still playing so many of her earlier hits, programmers could've considered it safer to play those familiar titles instead of, say, "Judas" or "Marry the Night." Of course, if audience research had been better for those songs, stations would've played them more. Instead, they stopped at Nos. 15 and 14, respectively, on Pop Songs.
