I'm glad I finally agree on something with people in here, although it's sad that the something is the fact that this episode was trash
But although I kind of get why people are upset about the Arya vs Waifu fight being offscreen, at the same time I found it mindblowing. How she blew the candle off and the sudden realization came like "OMG this bich gon' give it to ha because she knows how to fight blind, that's genious!!!!!". It made me so excited!
And all the trash aside, even if it was possible to forgive all the crap that appeared in this episode, why....why by the old gods and the new ones....why would they let the Riverrun storyline end like this?
Not only it is BAD, but it also makes NO DIFFERENCE to the series. Absolutely everything is the same as when the season started. Blackfish came and went, doing NOTHING. Brienne came to Riverrun looking for help, left with NOTHING. Jamie got the castle by doing NOTHING and now he can leave and go several episodes back and pretend he never left, because...NOTHING happened in the god damn Riverrun. The series can now go on as if that castle never appeared in the season and Blackfish was still MIA. Why waste money to even render that castle? What exactly was the purpose of this storyline?
The only thing that might happen now that could make it less wasteful would be LSH taking revenge on Jamie, but lbr that is NOT gonna happen, because obviously NOTHING ever happens in Riverrun.
Aside from Arya running, rolling and jumping around the city with all those fresh wounds nothing bothered me. It was a great episode, i am glad Dany is back. I think once Mereen story is wrapped up she will go to Westeros but that will take time imo. Glad Arya is going back though.
