I wish she could release the Target edition here, she's a UK artist, should that not mean that the UK should get the most complete version of Delirium?
The lovesongs are sweet, innocent and light, no doubt, but on the standart edition of 16 tracks, at least 13 sound almost identical. It is more like a straight collection of dance songs which could be also released by colleagues like KATY PERRY or RITA ORA.
From the annoying earworm whistle of Keep On Dancin', which will undoubtedly grace a dozen DJs' setlists, to the similarly repetitive On My Mind, most songs on this 16-track album are carefully constructed to weasel their way onto radios, TVs and brains. Regardless, she does explore genres like gospel and dancehall with Holding On For Life and We Can't Move To This.
Y'all are freaking out about this review. What wrongs or untruthful facts did he say? That the album is extremely mainstream? We can tell already. He called it a really good pop album, and it's undeniable that she really sold out and went 100% full out mainstream. Who cares? Enjoy the album; I know I certainly will even if it's not another Halcyon. At least it's not as generic or as bad as HD. Also, you can avoid this review all you want, but the fact is that it's probably going to be the best of the reviews, none are going to praise Deirium as high art, they're all going to say, at best, that it's a great album.
